The seeds of what would be Aardeman's Tractor Service were planted in the summer of 2020.  Facing a large backyard remodel, a new Kubota compact tractor was purchased to save hours of significant physical labor.  When the backyard project was finished a year later, we were looking for some new uses for the tractor--a tool that had become a vital part of Bill's "therapy program" in response to the mental stresses of his administrative job.  He found himself helping out at school and church as well as several friends who had property.  These occasions presented a variety of opportunities to develop skills while also providing a lot of fulfillment and joy.  In the spring of 2024, as his administrative job was winding down, a number of friends and family suggested that they felt the most logical second career would be something with the tractor.  And, thus, ATS was born, starting June 1, 2024.  

The company name is a translation from the Dutch language, a tribute to my heritage as the son of an immigrant from Holland.  Aarde is translated as "earth/dirt" and, of course, man is translated as "man."  So, the name translates to Dirt Man!
